Admission Notice for Advanced Certificate in Managerial Communication (ACMC), A Six Week Certificate course in Managerial Communication & Interpersonal Skill Development for the Managers at IBA, University of Dhaka.
Background:
Continuing its commitment to provide world class business education in Bangladesh, Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka has introduced a regular certificate program: Advanced Certificate in Managerial Communication for enhancing the communication & interpersonal skill of the managers for career success.
Objective:
Interpersonal & Communication skill is the most critical skill for workplace success; then again, the ‘act of communicating’, itself can be a source of great stress for managers. In this course students will learn the techniques and processes involved in writing, speaking specially communicating effectively in the real life business world. This course will equip the participants with the essential professional communication skills & the right attitude required to excel in the workplace. Th training is thus useful for managers irrespective of discipline, tier or industry.
Class Schedule:
The certificate course will be taught over Six Weeks. There will be 12 classes held each class being 2 hours 30 minutes in duration and the classes will be held at IBA premises on Fridays & Saturdays only according to the following schedule-
Section A:
- Friday: 9.30 am to 12.00 pm
- Saturday: 10.00 am to 12.30 pm
Section B:
- Friday: 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm
- Saturday: 6.00 am to 8.30 pm
Selected candidates will be admitted to either of the above sections and will be allocated both on the basis of seat availability and candidate preference. Classes will start from Friday, February 28, 2014. the last date of submitting application is February 08, 2014.
Eligibility Criteria:
Prospective candidates must fulfill the following criteria to be considered for admission:
- Bachelors degree in any discipline
- Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or 3.00 out of 5.00 in all public examinations
- Minimum 3 years of work experience with reputed organizations. (work experience may be relaxed for exceptional candidates)
Admission Procedure & Fees:
Candidates fulfilling the above requirements should apply using the prescribed application form available at IBA website www.iba-du.edu or at the MDP office at IBA (address given below). Applications are being accepted now and completed applications needs to be submitted at the MDP office at IBA.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Eligible candidates will be appearing before an interview board for selection.
Candidates selected for admission will be required to pay the consolidated course fee of Tk. 26,500/=
Certification:
On successful completion of the course, participants will be awarded an Advanced Certificate in Managerial Communication by IBA, University of Dhaka.
Key Resource Persons:
The resource persons for the program comprise faculty members form IBA, University of Dhaka. Leading management practitioners from the industry will also conduct business sessions.
