Student Visa Requirements for Study Abroad in Germany

For getting German student visa, the candidate has to approach the German Embassy or the Consulate General in their respective home country with the following documents:

• A valid Passport
• A confirmation or admission letter from the university which acts as an evidence that the applicant is a study abroad student.
• Documents to point out the source of finance necessary to study abroad in Germany.
• Candidates are also requested to submit two set of documents along with the photocopies. Additional documents require to be submitted along with the above mentioned articles.  In terms of the passport necessity the passport should have been issued and not extended in the last ten years. At the same time the passport should have an absolute validity and illegible data will not be acknowledged. At the same time study Visas are valid to the period of study.
• The Visa fees are subject to transform. Applicants require paying the visa fees by demand draft. The demand draft should be made in support of Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in the prefecture and should not be older than two months.
• In terms of financial standings applicants are necessary to submit two documents that confirm or certify their financial standing.
• Confirmation of scholarship or stipend acknowledged by the candidate.
• Formal letter of sponsorship from a sponsor living in Germany for study.
• Declaration of Authenticity– This is essential as it certifies that all documents accordingly submitted by the candidate are authentic and genuine. Intentionally providing information that is bogus may result in the termination of visa and the individual be deported from the country.
