Each year over 140 international and domestic students enrolled for PhD and other doctoral research degrees are awarded University of Auckland Doctoral Scholarships. These are primarily allocated on the basis of academic merit. They provide funding for up to 3 years, with a 6-month extension available on application.
Study Subject:
Scholarships are provided within the faculty of Arts, Auckland Bioengineering Institute, Business and Economics, Education, Engineering, Law, Liggins, Medical and Health Sciences and Science at the University of Auckland.
Eligibility:
- The Scholarships are tenable by domestic and international students who are paying domestic fees.
- The Scholarships shall be available to students enrolled full-time at the University of Auckland who have paid the fees or have arranged to pay the fees, for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Clinical Psychology or the research component of another approved doctorate. The scholarships may also be available to domestic students for whom socially compelling reasons make part-time enrollment preferable.
Scholarship Duration:
Scholarships will be offered for up to 3 years, with a 6-month extension available on application.
Scholarship Value:
The scholarships will provide up to $25,000 pa plus compulsory fees. (Its varies according to faculty)
Selection Criteria:
The scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit.
Notification:
Applicants will be notified by the letter or email, from the relevant Faculty and/or the Scholarships Office.
