University of Reading is pleased to offer a series of new scholarships for students applying to join the International Foundation Programme in September 2014 and January 2015. Successful candidates will demonstrate both academic excellence and the desire and enthusiasm to be an Ambassador for the University of Reading. Three types of scholarships will be available: International Foundation Programme Country scholarships, International Foundation Programme Subject Scholarships and IFP January Entry Scholarship.
Study Subjects and Level:
Scholarships are provided to learn any International Foundation Programme (IFP) available at university. The subject scholarships are obtainable in the following Pathway: Economics, Politics, Law and Psychology.
The Scholarships for joining the International Foundation Programme at University of Reading (subject scholarships will be awarded to pursue undergraduate degree).
Eligibility:
- Applicants must be confirmed as an Overseas Student for fee paying purposes (this information is contained in offer letter).
- Applicants must fully complete the application form with the supporting statements as directed. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
- Applicants must agree to become an ambassador for both the IFP and the University of Reading during your studies. This may involve attending student fairs, welcome receptions and providing testimonials.
- Applicants must be applying to study at the University as an international student.
Scholarship Open for:
International Foundation Programme Country scholarships will be available only for the students of Vietnam, Nigeria and Indonesia.
Number of Scholarships:
Total eight international scholarships are awarded (Three International Foundation Programme Country scholarships, four International Foundation Programme Subject Scholarships and one IFP January Entry Scholarship).
Scholarship Duration:
Scholarships are offered for 2 years.
Scholarship Value:
Each scholarship worth £7000 will be deducted from the successful candidate’s IFP tuition fee.
Selection Criteria:
Successful candidates will demonstrate both academic excellence and the desire and enthusiasm to be an Ambassador for the University of Reading.
Notification:
Successful applicants will receive notification of their country or subject scholarship award by 18th July 2014, by which time their offer must be unconditional. Successful applicants for the January entry scholarship will receive notification by 28th November 2014.
