The proposed project “Developing the method and the equipment for infrared thermographic nondestructive testing of composite materials in aviation” is related to the area of thermal/infrared nondestructive testing where the research team of Tomsk Polytechnic University is one of world leaders. The developed software intended for modeling heat conduction problems and data processing has got no world analogs. In the framework of the proposed project, a portable inspection unit will be developed for checking aviation materials and end parts in workshop, laboratory and hangar conditions.

The Position is open for undertaking postdoctoral research project.
Eligibility:
- Specialty of a candidate: Nondestructive Testing, Material Science, Infrared Technology, Computer Image Processing, Heat Conduction Theory;
- competence (work experience): PhD or work experience at research organizations in the above-mentioned areas;
- knowledge of English: fluent communicative English, advanced writing skills;
- scientific level: no requirement to h-index, 2 papers published in journals cited in Web of Science and/or Scopus;
- knowledge of Matlab software is desirable (but not obligatory).
