Applications are now open for Australia Awards Scholarships provided under the Australian Governments aid program for citizens of Bangladesh with the potential to make a real difference.
If you are keen to gain new leadership and technical skills to help build your community, country or region then apply for an Australia Award Scholarships for the opportunity to gain a qualification at an Australian University.
We will give you the opportunity and help you on your way to achieve great things. Through a formal program of study and practical experience, we will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to drive change and influence economic and social development.
You will not only be developing your capacity and leadership skills, you will be joining an international network of alumni who share a passion for sustainable development driven by people-to-people linkages at the individual, institutional and country levels.

Health, education, governance, climate change, disability and economic growth are some of the key areas where Australia Awards recipients are making a difference.
And in Bangladesh we are providing opportunities for eligible applicants from four target groups: employees of Government of Bangladesh, ICDDR,B and BRAC, as well as people from ethnic minority communities across the country. Eligible applicants from these target groups are welcome to apply. We offer 50 per cent of awards to women, and encourage applicants from people with a disability and from ethnic minority groups.
In addition to priority sectors mentioned above and in line with AusAID’s South Asia Regional Strategy, applicants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, India and Nepal who are engaged in Water Management will be considered for these awards.

How to apply
You can apply online at
https://oasis.ausaid.gov.au/ from 1 February 2013 to begin studies in Australia from January 2014.
Applicants must be submitted by 5pm on 30 April 2013.
