SMU Cox school of Business offers Merit scholarships are awarded each year based on individual merit and achievement. Recipients are selected on the basis of demonstrated academic achievement, performance on the GMAT, professional experience experience, and leadership potential. All candidates who apply by March 5 (Round 3 deadline) are automatically considered for merit scholarships. Scholarships are awarded for the entire two-year period, subject to satisfactory academic performance. Candidates are evaluated and awarded during the admission process.

We offer a variety of merit-based scholarship awards to admitted female students which qualify them to be named as Forte Fellows and become part of an exclusive group of top future female business leaders. Eligibility to apply:
Admission to the Cox MBA Program is highly selective. The Admissions Committee seeks a diverse group of candidates demonstrating the following attributes:
- Significant professional and life experiences.
- Strong academic capabilities, leadership potential, and interpersonal and communication skills.
- Personal qualities such as maturity, integrity, self-confidence, and motivation.
- A strong commitment to learning and achievement.
- Successful applicants typically have several years of full-time work experience, a strong undergraduate academic record, and competitive scores on the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT). You should be computer literate, with a basic understanding of e-mail, the Internet, and spreadsheets. Although not required, we strongly recommend that you also have a working knowledge of calculus, accounting, statistics, and microeconomics.
Scholarship Value:
The Cox MBA Program provides scholarship awards to approximately half of its students, with awards ranging from 10-100% of tuition and fees.

Scholarships are awarded for the entire two-year period, subject to satisfactory academic performance.

To be eligible, candidates must submit their application, including all pieces (transcripts, GMAT, TOEFL, essays, etc.), by the scholarship deadline of March 5, 2014 (Round 3 deadline). We strongly encourage students to apply in Round 1 or Round 2 if possible.
Application Deadline:
- Round 1: November 5, 2013 (international applicants) and November 20, 2013 (domestic applicants).
- Round 2: January 5, 2014 (international applicants) and January 20, 2014 (domestic applicants).
- Round 3: March 5, 2014 (all applicants) — final deadline for merit scholarship consideration. Round 4: May 5, 2014 (domestic applicants).
