The Pybus Bursary is provided through a legacy gift to the University via the Northern Branch of the Business and Professional Women UK Ltd (BPW).
Students may be from any discipline but must be registered on a Postgraduate degree course at Newcastle University. Awards of up to £2,000 are available.

Bursary is provided in any discipline available at postgraduate level in Newcastle University.
Eligibility:
To be eligible for this award you must:
- be registered on a Postgraduate degree course at Newcastle University
- be a female postgraduate student
- have a financial need for the award
- be from Tyne and Wear
Scholarship Value: Awards of up to £2,000 are available.
How to apply?
Applications must be received no later than 10 February 2014. Please include the following:
- a covering letter giving information of why you need the award, your reasons for applying for your course and any other information you feel is relevant
- a brief CV
- copies of your last three months bank statements (for each bank account held) must be submitted
Successful applicants are required to write to the BPW representatives to thank them for the award, and to give an annual update on their progress. You may be invited to meet members of the BPW at University events.
