The University of Queensland is offering MBBS scholarship to current and future students. The scholarship awarded to a first year MBBS student showing the greatest merit based on financial need, academic achievement and personal qualities.
Study Subject: Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery.
Study Level: Undergraduate.
The scholarship is open to students who are enrolled full-time in the first semester of the MBBS program.
The scholarship is awarded, at the discretion of the selection committee, to the applicant showing the greatest merit as demonstrated by –
- financial need; and
- academic achievement in the relevant entry program as required by the entry requirements of the MBBS program; and
- personal qualities including leadership potential; and
- participation in community activities such as social projects, team sport or voluntary community work; and
- other evidence as may be deemed relevant by the selection committee to the applicant’s future success in the medical profession.
Scholarship value: $5,000 (approximate) per year
Scholarship Duration: 2 years
Terms and conditions:
The scholarship is tenable for up to 2 years subject to continued enrolment in the MBBS. The scholarship may not be held concurrently with another similar scholarship.

The scholarship is awarded to the student showing the greatest merit as demonstrated by:
- financial need; and
- academic achievement in previous undergraduate studies; and
- personal qualities including leadership potential; and
- participation in community activities such as social projects, team sport or voluntary community work; and
- other evidence as may be deemed relevant to the applicant’s future success in the medical profession.
