The IDEA Centre is able to fund a number fees scholarships and bursaries for entry in 2014.

We are pleased to have secured funding for a number of fees scholarships for the MA in Applied and Professional Ethics for entry in 2014.

Our taught Masters degree in Applied and Professional Ethics is designed to help people in business, the professions, and the public and third sectors, develop skills and knowledge that can help them effectively engage with ethical issues in their working lives. The course is taught entirely online, making it particularly appropriate for those in full-time employment or resident overseas, who wish to gain a qualification from a leading university without interrupting their career.

On this course, students learn about different approaches to ethical problems, examining both the philosophical literature on applied ethics, and real-life case studies. These are drawn from a variety of professional contexts, ranging from business and accountancy to the computer industry, and from environmental issues to decisions made by engineers.

Eligibility:

All applicants to the Masters and Postgraduate Diploma degrees in Applied and Professional Ethics are eligible to apply for the scholarships, including international applicants and part-time students.

Scholarship Value:

Scholarships will cover a proportion of the academic fees, mostly up to half the value, more rarely up to the full value. For part-time students (who take the course over two years) the scholarship is subject to review at the end of the first year.

Selection Criteria:

Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic excellence, which will be assessed by considering the candidate’s application to the University and supporting documents, and the interview conducted as part of the admissions process.

How to Apply?
