"Orange Tulip Scholarship Brazil"Orange Tulip Scholarship (OTS) Brazil is a program administered by Nuffic Neso Brazil awarding scholarships exclusively for Brazilians. The OTS focuses qualify students for excellence, which have good academic performance. Nuffic Neso Brazil launched OTS Brazil in 2013 with a short-term first call. Although the preparation time and the application period for students was short, and only few institutions could join, the program was very well received and attracted a lot of attention from the local and specialized media. In the annex you see some examples of the media coverage of OTS Brazil for the launching call. The launching call resulted in good candidates for the main sponsor.

Study Subject and Level:

Scholarships are awarded for selected courses at participating universities. (Especially for MBA and for courses in the areas of Accounting, Economics, Marketing and Business)

Scholarships are awarded for pursuing master degree program at Nyenrode Business University, Maastricht University, VU University Amsterdam, Tilburg University, University of Twente, Radboud University Nijmegen, TiasNimbas Business School, Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS – Erasmus University Rotterdam) and The Hague University of Applied Science.

Eligibility:

  • Bachelors degree in relevant area
  • Proficiency in English (proven by one of the certificates): TOEFL IBT, IELTS and GMAT.

Scholarship Value:

Full scholarships or partial on the value of Tuition Fee (tuition) courses are awarded.

  • Nyenrode Business University (International MBA): 100% tuition scholarship (worth 32,500 Euros), one partial scholarship (worth 10,000 euros) and 50% discount on yearly tuition fee (worth 16,250 euros). Master of Science in Management: 100% tuition scholarship (worth 24,000 Euros) and one partial scholarship (worth 10,000 euros).
  • Maastricht University: Rebate 14,500 Euros on the Annual Tuition Fee.
  • VU University Amsterdam: Scholarships in the amount of 15,000 Euros (covering the Annual Tuition Fee and part of housing costs).
  • Tilburg University: Rebate 11,250 Euros on the Annual Tuition Fee of Master and Rebate 6500 Euros on the Annual Tuition Fee of Master (courses in communications, design and culture).
  • University of Twente: Stipend of 10,000 euros for the Living costs.
  • Radboud University Nijmegen: Abatement 6,750 Euros and exemption from visa costs and insurance on the Annual Tuition Fee Masters Courses related.
  • TiasNimbas Business School: Rebate 50% of Annual Tuition Fee
  • Institute for Housing and Urban Development Studies (IHS – Erasmus University Rotterdam): Rebate three thousand Euros on the Annual Tuition Fee masters course.
  • The Hague University of Applied Science: Abatement 1,000 Euros on the Annual Tuition Fee of Master.

Selection Criteria:

The Orange Tulip Scholarship Program is aimed at students of excellence. Among the criteria for the scholarship are: academic achievement, English language proficiency (demonstrated through proficiency exam), besides meeting the specific requirements of the higher education institution of choice.

Notification:

The end result will be announced on 12.05.2014 in the Nuffic Neso Brazil website. The institution will also contact directly with the candidates on that date.

How to Apply?

To apply for a scholarship program OTS Brazil, the candidate must complete the registration form and send it to  info-at-nesobrazil.org until 03/24/2014. All documents will be assessed by Nuffic Neso Brazil and then forwarded to participating universities, which define the suitable candidates to receive scholarships.
