"Umeå University"Umeå University welcomes talented and high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA. Applicants of one of the 29 Master’s level study programs that are offered in English are eligible to apply for one of the multiple scholarship opportunities available.

The following scholarships are administered by Umeå University:

Umeå University Scholarship:

This is a general scholarship program offered by Umeå University. Open for students admitted to one of the Master’s study programs offered.

Umeå Institute of Design Scholarship:

This scholarship targets students who are admitted to their studies at Umeå Institute of Design.

Erling-Persson Scholarship:

This scholarship is financed by the Erling-Person foundation and targets students admitted to Master’s in Public Health study program at Umeå University.

Study Subject:

Scholarships are provided in the field of Accounting, Advanced Product Design, Business Development and Internationalization, Chemistry, Cognitive Science, Computational Science and Engineering, Computing Science, Ecology, Economics, Environmental Archaeology, Finance, Fine Arts, Geo ecology, Human-Computer Interaction and Social Media, Immediate Architecture Intervention, Interaction Design, IT Management, Management, Marketing, Molecular Biology, Physics, Plant and Forest Biotechnology, Public Health, Public Health (one-year master), Robotics and Control, Spatial Planning and Development, Sustainable Architecture Production, Tourism and Transportation Design at Umeå University.

Eligibility:

  • Talented and high-achieving students from outside the EU/EEA
  • Open for students admitted to one of the Master’s study programs offered
  • Must also have completed your study application at university

Scholarship Value: Selected candidates receive a full or partial reduction of the tuition fee.

Selection Criteria: The selections for the scholarship are based entirely on the student’s academic merit.

How to Apply?

Application for the scholarships is made via the online-form. Applications for Swedish Institute study scholarships are made via their web portal. The selections are held once annually, during the international application round for the autumn semester.

Application Deadline: February 3, 2014.
