The School of Modern Languages and Cultures, comprising the following disciplines and centres is offering bursaries for students undertaking taught and research MAs and PhD programs, full-time and part-time, starting in September/October 2014. Both Home/EU and international students are eligible to apply. The School offers postgraduate teaching and supervision by leading researchers in their fields within the disciplines and Centres. Part-fee bursaries at UK/EU fee levels may be awarded to individual applicants at the discretion of the Scholarships Committee. Bursary applications are invited from highly qualified prospective students of all nationalities for MA and PhD by research and for taught MA programs. Applications will be considered on academic merit alone.
Bursaries are provided to learn for any SMLC Taught Postgraduate program. The School of Modern Languages and Cultures, comprising the following disciplines and centres: Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies, Centre for Translation Studies, Centre for World Cinemas, East Asian & South East Asian Studies, French and Francophone Studies, German,Russian and Slavonic Studies, Intercultural Studies, Italian Studies, Linguistics and Phonetics, Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies.
The Bursaries are available for studying postgraduate degree MAs and PhD programs at University of Leeds in UK.
Eligibility:
UK/EU and International students who have completed a full degree (undergraduate or postgraduate) at the University of Leeds by the time they register for a research postgraduate program.
Scholarship Open for: UK/EU and international students can apply for these postgraduate bursaries.
Scholarship Value:
Bursaries include a contribution towards academic fees (at Home/EU University of Leeds standard rate). Part-fee bursaries at UK/EU fee levels may be awarded to individual applicants at the discretion of the Scholarships Committee.
Selection Criteria: Applications will be considered on academic merit.
Notification: Successful applicants will be notified by 11 July 2014.
